Mac App store Review

As you all may be familiar with your app store on your phones and iPods apple has just brought this to the computer. Imagine simply downloading a simple app, no installation, it just works.

Apple recently released there mac app store. Its pretty much apps.... for your mac!

The mac app store simply adds another icon to your toolbar.
Simply click it and BAM
Instantly we are greeted with apples friendly app store. And yes that is Call Of Duty.... on the app store.

There is a pretty fair amount of free apps but.... the pricing makes me sick to my stomach.

There are a few apps that are so overpriced its sad. Theres this one, called yummy soup. Its basically a soup recipe organization program. Thats awesome. Just think of chefs or parents in the kitchen simply looking up recipes through a simple app on their laptop or desktops.

Its 15 dollars. Yes. 15. I mean come on its useful but... at the same time its still 15 BUCKS. Id rather write down my recipes on a piece of paper, or just google them.

There are alot of other overpriced apps but it would be rude to start naming them all.

Games? You got it! The games are fairly priced. Heres a quick screenshot of the games page so you can get a quick overview of the prices. There priced VERY well. They also run extremely well and download and install in just minutes. My favorite so far has got to be civilization 4. Its really alot of fun and worth the price. Another good one is this free solitare pack they have it comes with like 5 different types of solitare and i made extremely well. The graphics are superb on these games. The app store is no joke when it comes to games and I would love to see some AAA titles like The sims 3 and world of warcraft on the app store. Now that would be cool. I mean we already have modern warfare on there. Yeah its not black ops but still its a step in the right direction! I really like the games they are offering and the prices they are at.

The mac app store is for sure a step in the right direction. Its pretty cool If you have a mac check it out for sure. Even leave a comment and lemme know what you think.

Optical VS Coaxial sound cables

Buying a home theater system can be tricky. But what can be even more trickier is deciding which types of cable to use. In this post ill discuss two different sound cables Coaxial and Optical and discuss which is better.

                                   Coaxial

Coaxial cables use single prong connectors that look alot like your standard RCA cables. These cables use a copper wire that is insulated inside the wire. This is an analog wire which I personally use. Its simple and is not as fragile as Optical. The only problem with this cable is if your transferring sound over a long distance the cable begins to weaken the sound. There also alot easier to connect in tight spaces because it has a round connector and can be plugged in any way. The sound quality is EXACTLY the same as optical.

Optical

Now optical audio cables really arent my personal favorite. They are very fragile and cant be bent much or they will simply lose alot of sound quality. The connector on the end can be tricky to plug in when your in a tight space. This cable unlike the coaxial cable can travel much further with sound. Once again it has the same sound quality dont be fooled by the "Digital" label.

So how do I decide?
Well its pretty simple.

Will you be travelling a long distance with your cable?
Yes? Than go with the optical.
No? Than go with the coaxial.

Do you have a large space to work with?
Yes? Than you can go either way.
No? Than choose the coaxial.

Do you want excellent sound quality?
Yes? Than choose either one because they have the same sound quality!

Summary: Well I think ive covered this topic plain and simple. They both have the same exact sound quality it just depends on your situation. If you have ANY questions PLEASE post them as a comment below and id be more than happy to help you out.
